Jesus' Triumphal entry to Jerusalem

Question: What does John 12:12 mean?

It is acknowledgement and praise by the people of Jerusalem of the fact that Jesus is the Son of King David, and that His entry into Jerusalem was prophesied in the Psalm 118:25–26, and Zech. 9:9.

In Luke 19:38, similar words are used, which draws rebuke from the Pharisees!

These events are a forerunner of the yet to be “Triumphal entry” of Messiah Christ Jesus, as “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords”; at His 2nd Advent, to begin His Rule of Earth for 1000 years, prior to the release and final dealing and destruction of Satan, and his angels and people!
